Onedrive Personal

Connect your Onedrive Personal account to store GitSec backups.

Prerequisites​

  • A Microsoft account with Onedrive Personal access.
  • Sufficient storage space in your Onedrive.

Setup Steps​

  1. Navigate to Storage in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Storage Provider.
  3. Select the Onedrive Personal card.
  4. You will be prompted to sign in with your Onedrive account and authorize GitSec.
  5. Grant the required permissions for GitSec to read and write files.
  6. Once authorized, click Save to complete the setup.

How It Works​

GitSec creates a dedicated folder under Apps > GitSec in your Onedrive to store backup files. All backups are encrypted before upload.

Storage Limits​

Be aware of your Onedrive storage quota. Backup sizes vary depending on repository size and selected scopes. Monitor your Drive usage to ensure sufficient space is available.

Security Recommendations​

  • Use a dedicated Microsoft Onedrive account for GitSec backups rather than your personal account.
